Butterscotch Brownies

  • 1/2 cup (100 grams) butter or margarine
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon guar gum or xanthan gum (optional)
  • 1/3 cup cocoa
  • 1 1/2 cups gluten-free flour
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Blend together with mixer. Spread in a 9×13 inch pan (23 x 33cm) pan.  Bake at 350F (175C) for 30-35 minutes. (I love these and I don’t even need a gluten-free diet!)
