Waffles with Berry Sauce

Waffles

1 ¾ cup flour

3 teaspoons sugar

½ teaspoon salt

3 eggs

1/3 cup oil

1 ½ cups milk (or 1/3 cup milk powder with 1 ½ cup water)

Mix dry ingredients, then add the rest and stir until smooth. Pour onto the heated waffle iron and cook until done. (You can freeze the extra waffles.)

Berry Sauce

1/3 cup sugar

1 ½ tablespoons cornflour

1/3 cup water

2 tablespoons lemon juice

2 cups fresh or frozen berries (blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, or a mix)

Combine all in a saucepan and cook over medium heat, stirring all the time, until it gets thick. This is also good on ice cream.
